Referral Process
Referring a patient to Dr. Irene Sim for specialised endodontic treatment is a simple and efficient process.
1.Referral Process:
Referring dentists are invited to complete and submit the Referral Form, available in both downloadable PDF format and as an online submission form. Please include comprehensive patient information, encompassing dental history, diagnosis, and any pertinent imaging, such as X-rays or CBCT scans.
2.Consultation & Treatment Planning:
Upon receiving the referral, Dr Irene Sim will perform a thorough evaluation of the patient, including any necessary additional diagnostics. She will then review the treatment options with the patient and coordinate with the referring dentist, ensuring a shared understanding and agreement on the proposed treatment plan.
3.Treatment & Communication:
Throughout the treatment process, Dr Irene Sim will provide regular updates to the referring dentist regarding the patient’s progress. Should any modifications to the treatment plan be required, they will be discussed and coordinated with the referring dentist to ensure the best possible outcomes.
4.Post-Treatment Care & Follow-Up:
Upon completion of the treatment, Dr Irene Sim will issue a comprehensive report to the referring dentist, detailing the procedure performed, postoperative recommendations, and follow-up care guidelines. Patients will then be referred back to the referring dentist for continued general care, with the assurance that any subsequent endodontic needs will be promptly managed by Dr Irene Sim if required.

Referring dentists can submit patient referrals using our online form or by downloading the referral PDF and emailing it to us. Both options ensure a smooth, efficient referral process and timely scheduling for the patient.
For Referring Patients
If your general dentist has referred you to Dr Irene Sim for specialised endodontic care, you can feel confident knowing you are in capable hands. Dr Sim works in close partnership with your dentist to deliver quality treatment tailored to your specific dental needs.
What to Expect During Your Visit
1. Comprehensive Assessment: During your first visit, Dr Sim will conduct a comprehensive examination of your dental condition. This may include additional imaging, such as digital X-rays or 3D scans, to evaluate the internal structure of your tooth and the surrounding tissues.
2. Personalised Treatment Plan: After the assessment, Dr Sim will review your diagnosis and outline the recommended treatment options. Whether the plan involves a complex root canal, retreatment, or a surgical procedure, she will guide you through each step, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the process and what to anticipate.
3. Ensuring Comfort & Care: For patients feeling anxious about their treatment, Dr Sim provides sedation options, including IV sedation and general anaesthesia, to ensure a comfortable experience. The clinic team is dedicated to supporting you throughout the process, addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
4. Aftercare & Follow-Up: Upon completing your treatment, Dr Sim will give you and your referring dentist comprehensive aftercare instructions. While you will continue with your general dentist for routine follow-up, Dr Sim remains accessible for any additional specialised care if needed.
